The updater told me that its updating steelseries 3.22.0, but this is a lie. So first thing is to go to the settings and stop this. After installation you have to be fast, because the default setting for updates is "just ignore that I´m the admin of this computer and install it for me in the background". However, it comes with a cost: My newest version is 3.19.0. Luckily, I have some old installers in my download archive, so I put GG to trash and reinstalled the old hardware. What do you like about GG, what do you dislike? This is only my opinion and I would like to hear some of your thoughts and opinions as well. And I think that the user should be in control over the hardware they bought. But this change affects all the hardware and its uses. If it was a new product by steelseries, I also wouldn't have a problem with it, because it would be my decision to buy it or leave it. It would be great to be able to use GG if you want to, but still be able to use engine as a stand alone tool. I´m also not a fan about those essential changes in tools or software without giving the user the option to reject them. There were also concerns by other users about huge data uploads from GG, found here. I can search for topics I like by my own and I don´t need advertisement in my software. ![]() I think this feature would be great in a seperate software instead of GG. In the "about"-section, there is a notification that FFmpeg-Libaries are used. You can find basic settings for it, unfortunately no information or options for codecs or format. I have features like giveaways but I have to combine accounts to get them. First of all, I have to registrer to configure the stuff I bought. I need a tool to configure the mouse and my headset. Some features were good, some had their flaws. I took some time to look through the software and to be honest, I don´t like it:įirst of, I´m using a Rival 600 and an Arctis 7. Today I accidentally updated engine to GG (thought it was just a regular update).
